Empowering our Parishioners to live simply, sustainably and in solidarity with the poor.

Supporting Busy Parishioners

Our twin parishes of St Dunstan’s and St Hugh of Lincoln have teamed up to apply for a LiveSimply Award. We have vibrant, energetic parishioners who desire to live simply, sustainably and in solidarity with the poor.

Whether you are looking for tips on sustainability, fair trade stores, would like to know more about the Live Simply Award or want to reach out in solidarity and pray with and for our brothers and sisters across the world, you will find a wealth of information and ideas here.

We have a great team of volunteers making these projects happen and we really encourage you to get involved in any way you can. You can read all about the inititiative in our Kick-Off Blog. We know how busy life is so you can do as much or as little as you like, whether that is as a volunteer or simply adopting a Live Simply tip at home - everything and everyone matters and is welcome!

Live Simply

We have gathered resources and tips for living simply and a calendar of events in the local area and online that may be of interest including workshops, informative talks and retreats.

Live Sustainably

In 2024 we are offering a self-guided course for A Year of Living Sustainably. Over 12 months, running Lent to Lent there are suggestions that engage head, heart and hands to make small, doable changes and includes prayer, fasting, reduced consumption and fair trade purchasing.

In Solidarity With The Poor

We are developing a parish project to support a community in need that gives our parish an opportunity to learn and live in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in need and most affected by climate change and biodiversity loss across the world. This will take shape during 2024 and we would welcome volunteers who would like to get involved. We also have a useful list of local projects that you may wish to support.
